چکیده

Abstract High-temperature coal ash/flue gas corrosion behaviours of three nickel–iron based superalloys for boiler tubes with different Mo and W contents (1.8% + 1.2% S 1 alloy, 0.8% 0.2% 2 0.5% 2.2% 3 alloy) at 650 700°C were studied. The microstructure, phase compositions, morphologies together element distribution products investigated a metallographic microscope, scanning electron microscope equipped an energy-dispersive spectroscope, X-ray diffractometer. results show that the resistance Ni–Fe-based alloy decreases increasing total content in both 700°C; outer layer was mainly composed FeCr O 4 while inner Cr . Peeling oxide films formed on surfaces alloys observed but no obvious spalling alloy. reactions among Mo, W, increased internal stress scale, which would cause failure scale.

High-temperature Corrosion Behavior of Iron Aluminide Alloys and Coatings

A multi-year effort has been focused on optimizing the long-term oxidation performance of ingot-processed (IP) and oxide-dispersion strengthened (ODS) Fe3Al and iron aluminidebased coatings. Based on results from several composition iterations, a Hf-doped alloy (Fe28Al-2Cr-0.05at.%Hf) has been developed with significantly better high temperature oxidation resistance than other iron aluminides. ...

Synthesis of cyclic olefin polymers with high glass transition temperature and high transparency using tungsten-based catalyst system

Novel cyclic olefin polymers (COPs) derived from bulky cyclic olefins, tricyclodipentadiene (TCPD) and tricyclo[6.4.0.19,12]-tridec-10-ene (TTE), with high glass transition temperature (Tg), excellent thermal stability, and high transparency, have been synthesized by ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) and subsequent hydrogenation. ROMP of TCPD and TTE was carried out successfully wit...

Comparison of doped combination zirconium-tungsten, zirconium- molybdenum and molybdenum-tungsten on single-wall vanadium oxide nanotube in hydrogen gas adsorption

In this study, doped vanadium oxide nanotubes were evaluated using different software to study the absorption of hydrogen gas. Vanadium oxide nanotubes are one of the options for absorption and storage hydrogen gas. In this research study for the first time, the Monte Carlo simulation was used to investigate the hydrogen gas absorption behavior in molybdenum-tungsten, molybdenum-zirconium and z...

On High-Temperature Behaviours of Heat Resistant Austenitic Alloys

Advanced heat resistant materials are important to achieve the transition to long term sustainable power generation. The global increase in energy consumption and the global warming from greenhouse gas emissions create the need for more sustainable power generation processes. Biomass-fired power plants with higher efficiency could generate more power but also reduce the emission of greenhouse g...

Effect of Alloying Elements on Crevice Corrosion Inhibition of Nickel- Chromium-Molybdenum-Tungsten Alloys under Aggressive Conditions: An Electrochemical Study

The effects of Cr, Mo and W on the crevice corrosion of a number of commercial Ni-Cr-Mo (W) alloys in 1.0 mol/L NaCl were studied using the potentiodynamic-galvanostaticpotentiodynamic technique to measure film breakdown and repassivation potentials as well as protection temperatures. As expected, Cr is the key element determining resistance to crevice initiation but a substantial Mo alloy cont...
